Exclusive sponsorship opportunities available at Powerboat P1 Welsh Grand Prix of the Sea

Powerboat P1 was founded in 2003 with a vision to develop powerboat racing as the third pillar of motorsport racing, alongside motorcars and motorbikes. The UK Championship now attracts audiences of more than 100,000 and millions more watch the action on Sky Sports and major sports networks around the world.

It’s expected to be an action packed weekend at Milford Waterfront - one that will complement Pembrokeshire’s established reputation as host of world-class events such as Ironman and Red Bull Cliff Diving. After attracting 65,000 spectators to the event in Cardiff in 2016, the team are anticipating to welcome at least 15,000 to Milford Waterfront. With the racers using this as their base it will provide spectators with superb viewing opportunities and sponsors with maximum brand exposure.

All sponsors will be provided with an advert in the official event programme, PA announcements over the weekend, VIP corporate hospitality tickets, tickets to the official welcome party and onsite branding. This is in addition to extensive local, national and international media coverage (including TV, radio, press and social media) and a massive brand awareness opportunity amongst the huge shore-side audience, fans and crews that P1 racing attracts.

The race is set to feature Pembrokeshire’s own Powerboating team, Daisy and Sam Coleman, who are sponsored by Milford Waterfront in 2017. The team, Coleman Racing, claimed the P1 Superstock National Championship title in Bournemouth last year and were the first team in the series’ history to podium at every event.
