This month we speak to Vanessa Hackett, the Owner of Image by Vanessa, an award-winning womenswear boutique specialising in mother of the bride/groom, wedding guest wear, cruise wear and evening gowns. They stock designers such as Masai, Gina Bacconi and many more, as well as a range of casual pieces.

What is the best thing about working at Milford Waterfront?

I can’t choose just one thing, the best things are the scenery, the atmosphere and the people that we meet daily.

Is there anything people should know about Image by Vanessa that they may not know?

We are not a cash and wrap shop. We give expert advice and can create a new image for you. We want you to feel and look special.

Have you got any special skills or talents?

Yes we are highly trained in seeing what colours and styles suit you.

What is your favourite item at Image by Vanessa and why?

When we do our fashion shows for charity the excitement when the clothes are modelled and the reaction from the audience is one of my favourite occasions.

What has been your favourite day at work and why?

Every year when we decorate our Christmas windows. We decorate them to give something back to the town and our customers as it is the season of goodwill. I love deciding on a theme, decorating them with the team and hearing feedback from our customers and the local community.
