This month we speak to Allison Butler, a Business Development Officer at Pembrokeshire Lottery. They hold weekly draws with £2,000 up for grabs, plus a monthly superdraw where either £4,000 or £8,000 can be won! They also help businesses that are looking to consolidate or grow within Pembrokeshire.

What is the best thing about working at Milford Waterfront?

Our office is in Cedar Court, which is just a short walk over to Milford Waterfront. It’s great to have all of the amenities on our doorstep for lunches, shopping or just a walk in the fresh air.

Is there anything people should know about Pembrokeshire Lottery that they may not know?

Pembrokeshire Lottery subscriptions make ideal presents. They’re very popular at Christmas, but also make a great gift for birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or even anniversaries. Last year, a lady bought gift subscriptions for all her grown-up grandchildren and one of them won £2,000! He took all the others on a weekend away so everyone was happy.

Have you got any special skills or talents?

I’m a part time thespian and have performed with various amateur dramatics societies in Pembrokeshire. I also write and direct for Saundersfoot Footlights.

What is your favourite item at Pembrokeshire Lottery and why?

The gift subscriptions are my favourite. A lot of people buy them for family who have moved away, so even though they no longer live in the county, they still have a connection to Pembrokeshire.

What has been your favourite day at work and why?

Every Wednesday is my favourite day! It’s my job to ring our weekly winner and present the cheque. I meet so many lovely people and it’s a great opportunity to see our players in person and thank them for supporting us. It’s always fun to ask what they’re going to do with their winnings too!
