There is a great selection of businesses here, and even better, some of these businesses make their own products right on our doorstep. Last time we featured Trwffl who make their own handmade chocolates in-store, this week we’re excited to share the The Scoop’s production story!
The Scoop Ice Cream Parlour and Coffee Shop opened in 2016. Run by three generations of the same family, their experience in serving tasty ice cream to visitors at Milford Waterfront, encouraged The Scoop to up their game this year, and they have opened their very own ‘Ice Creamery’ so they can produce their very own ice cream on site at Neptune House, just opposite their Ice Cream Parlour and Coffee Shop.
The Scoop Ice Cream Co. now produce their own brand of ice cream, homemade using fresh milk from Steynton Farm, and double cream, to create a range of classic favourites including Vanilla, Mint Choc Chip, Chocolate and Strawberry, indulgent flavours including Salted Caramel, Cookies and Cream, Candy Floss, Strawberry Cheesecake and the popular Biscoff flavour, and not forgetting the kids’ favourite flavour, Blue Bubblegum. You can even pick up a ‘Scoop Dog – Ice Cream for Doggos’ for your furry friends! Dairy free options are also available, as are gluten free cones, so nobody has to miss out. You can find an ever-changing line up of flavours in the freezers at The Scoop Ice Cream Parlour, next to the lock gates at Milford Marina. It’s very n-ice to say the least!
An ideal spot to cool down and enjoy an ice cream is at the Pier Head Picnic Area, overlooking the Milford Haven Waterway, after enjoying all that Milford Waterfront has to offer!
If you’re fancying more than a few scoops, you can now also buy 450ml and 900ml tubs of your favourite flavour of ice cream to dip in-and-out of, whenever you like! You can buy a tub from Steynton Farm or if you would like a specific flavour, The Scoop team will be more than happy to fill up a tub for you at their store.
