Join us as we dive into the brewing excitement surrounding the upcoming Big Beer Festival on Saturday 25th May at Milford Waterfront…
Can you tell us more about the upcoming Big Beer Festival at Milford Waterfront and what attendees can expect for this year's event?
This year’s Beer Festival will be bigger and better! With the area now being licenced and the stage moved we can accommodate more people and create an even bigger event than previous years.
With a day full of live music and 4th Street headlining there is something for everyone! The street food zone has also been given a new look with two new vendors this year, as well as our resident, Junkyard Dogs.
Could you share some details about the breweries that will be featured at the festival?
This year we have Bluestone Brewing, Mantle Brewery, Harbwr - Tenby Harbour Brewery, St David’s Farmhouse Brewery, as well as Tiny Rebel, Grey Trees and Glamorgan Brewing Co.
Beyond the beer, what else can attendees look forward to?
They can look forward to live music all day, some delicious authentic cuisine in the street food zone and if beer isn’t your drink of choice, we will also have prosecco, Pimms and a variety of cider on offer.
Can you share any memorable moments from previous beer festivals that stand out to you?
I can remember when the whole marquee was bouncing and singing to Come on Eileen sung by Steve Bartram two years ago, it was an unbelievable sight!
What are your hopes for the future of the Big Beer Festival? Are there any plans to enhance the event in the coming years?
Every year we continue to make small tweaks to enhance the experience. I hope it continues to go from strength to strength and that we continue to raise money for us to put on community events and allow us to donate to local causes.
Finally, could you tell us more about how the proceeds from the event will benefit the Milford Haven Round Table and our local community?
The Beer Festival has long been known as our money maker event. With the extremely generous help of our sponsors and the money from the Beer Festival, we are able to make donations to worthy causes in the town.
Throughout the year, the Milford Haven Round Table also arrange Milford Haven Carnival and the free fireworks display on the 5th November. We also hide over 1000 eggs for the Easter egg hunt and take Santa around the town on our Santa Run!
We’ve also got some exciting news!
