Enjoy panoramic views of the Milford Haven Waterway
Overlooking the spectacular Milford Haven Waterway and Milford Marina, 'The Shores' is our 4* dog friendly self-catering holiday apartment for two. Laid out over three floors, guests enter on the ground floor and walk up a spiral staircase to the bedroom and bathroom on the first floor, and up another spiral staircase to the top floor to a spacious kitchen and living room, with access to an outside balcony.
Surrounded by a vibrant café culture at Milford Waterfront, a break at The Shores provides the perfect base from which to explore all that Pembrokeshire has to offer – the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path, the Preseli Mountains, award-winning beaches, water and amusement parks and outdoor activities including coasteering, which was invented right here in Pembrokeshire!
You'll be able to admire the ever-changing panoramic views of the Milford Haven Waterway from The Shores, and watch the comings and goings of a mix of vessels from ships and tugs, to pleasure craft and even the occasional cruise ship during the summer. Embracing our strong link with the sea, you’ll find subtle hints that form part of our deep connection to the stunning waterway throughout this modern house.
The Shores is located above Foam, a busy restaurant with waterway views, so if you're looking for somewhere vibrant to stay, you can soak up the atmosphere from your private balcony overlooking the popular venue, or walk down to enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner or even an evening cocktail. Foam is busy from breakfast right through to dinner service, so there will be sound from below. If you’d prefer somewhere a little more relaxing, our Floatel Cabins are located just opposite, nestled among the boats in Milford Marina, providing luxury, floating, en suite holiday accommodation for two.
The Shores has a sunny balcony to enjoy in the summer, and a fire to cosy up in front of during the winter. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for those evenings that you’re not sampling the range of fantastic places to eat in Milford Haven and further afield. We would highly recommend booking if you would like to go out to eat, as all venues can get busy, especially at weekends.
The beautiful scenery and wildlife of the waterway can be accessed from the slipway right outside the property. If you’d like to bring your own kayak there is room to store this, so let us know when you book.
Formed by a ria, or drowned valley, the waterway is one of the deepest natural harbours in the world and the UK’s largest energy port. Discover the natural beauty of the Pembrokeshire coastline from the water and look out for seasonal wildlife such as puffins, dolphins and porpoises around Skomer Island, or seals and shelducks at the upper reaches of the River Cleddau.
For cycling enthusiasts, Milford Waterfront is well located to discover the county by bike. The Haven of Heritage Trail gives a flavour of the rich maritime heritage of both Milford Haven and Pembroke Dock, from Quaker-whaling times and a bustling fishing docks to the development of modern industries and waterside leisure facilities including a 300 berth, 4 gold anchor marina.
There are also a variety of walks to explore from Milford Waterfront. Discover panoramic river views, woodland walks and heritage trails for all abilities to enjoy the whole year through.
Milford Haven is home to a great selection of cafes and restaurants serving a true taste of our county; shops and galleries selling local works of art and crafts, and the latest fashions; a healthy selection of beauty and wellbeing businesses to look after your mind, body and soul; delicious handmade chocolates and locally landed fish which you can buy to take back and enjoy at The Shores.
